You Can Have A Serene Environment In Your Home: Bamboo Indoor Fountains

While many people have installed -- or are planning to install -- an outdoor bamboo fountain (see our website article for more information on this subject), many homeowners and apartment-dwellers are discovering the benefits of creating a tranquil environment INSIDE their home as well. Some advantages of bamboo indoor fountains are that they generally cost less than outdoor bamboo fountains, are easier to set up, easier to maintain, and easier to repair, then the outdoor models.
The first bamboo indoor fountain that I would like to describe for you comes to us from NetGift. They call it their "Bamboo Motion Water Fountain." One source I consulted had this item listed for $33.52. This bamboo indoor fountain incorporates an innovative design: a small bamboo "cup" gradually fills with water, then tips over, emptying its contents into the base, where it is recirculated for another filling. It is 10.5" x 9" x 9" in height.
Another nice bamboo indoor fountain is manufactured by Shanta's Gift Shop. Their "Zen Bamboo Water Fountain," priced at around $15 at retail, features a set of three pieces of bamboo cut into different lengths, with small chutes attached onto the sides of each length of bamboo which transferres the water from level to level, until it reaches the base where it pours down over some smooth rocks. This bamboo indoor fountain is perfect for indoor use on a dresser or bookshelf, as it is only 7 1/2" high and 7 1/2 inches in diameter. Requires the use of two AA batteries.
Next we turn to an item from 1999Gifts. Normally list priced at just under $42, their End Tabletop Fountain is suitable for tabletop, shelf, dresser or windowsill, because it is only 12" x 11.5" x 7". It too features an arrangement of different lengths of bamboo, a small wooden shelf and a base filled with rocks.
A slightly different arrangement is offered by Relaxing Water Fountains. For just under $30, you can purchase a Zen Bamboo Column Table Top Water Fountain. What makes this bamboo indoor fountain different is that near the base, as the water comes cascading down, it flows over a small rotating water wheel! This is truly a delightful fountain that you can sit and watch for hours and hours -- I know because I've done it! The dimensions of this bamboo indoor fountain are 7.5" x 9.5" (diameter-height).
Finally, if you are looking for a bamboo indoor fountain with a very different appearance, I would direct you to one manufactured by Hunter. Priced at just under $140, this is a Stacked Black Bamboo Finish Table Floor Water Fountain. What makes this bamboo indoor fountain different is that the lengths of bamboo are finished in a black color, instead of the more common natural bamboo color. This bamboo indoor fountain is 25 inches high and 11 inches wide and requires the use of one 10 W, 12 V JC bulb (two bulbs are included when you buy the unit). Highly recommended!
